JOSHUA E. GALLAGHER has been designing imaginary places in real spaces for the past decade and has a diverse portfolio in both scale and genre. He especially succeeds at reimagining musical spectacles for intimate venues; creating immersive storytelling experiences. His work has been featured in productions for Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol, Garden Theatre, University of Cincinnati, Villanova University, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Mac-Haydn Theatre, Millbrook Playhouse, and Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, among others. Currently, Joshua is the resident scenic and props designer for Significant Productions and an adjunct professor at Valencia College. He is also an Affiliated Artist with the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, and a former resident of the Philadelphia Design Center. His design for the premiere production of "In Quietness" was awarded the 2013 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region II Scenic Design Award. In July 2013, Joshua participated as a Design Fellow at the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Joshua has a Master of Fine Arts in Stage Design from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
