JOSHUA E. GALLAGHER has been designing for the stage for the past seven years and has a diverse portfolio in both scale and genre. He especially succeeds at reimagining musical spectacles for intimate venues; creating immersive storytelling experiences. His work has been featured in productions for University of Cincinnati, Villanova University, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, Mac-Hayden Theatre, Limelight Performing Arts Center, Millbrook Playhouse, and Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, among others. He is an Affiliated Artist with the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, and a former resident of the Philadelphia Design Center. His design for the premier production of "In Quietness" was awarded the 2013 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region II Scenic Design Award. In July 2013, Joshua participated as a Design Fellow at the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
Joshua has a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Post-graduation he will pursue opportunities to continue to design for theatre as well as themed entertainment.
